Historical essays have been written about events that occurred lately, either in the recent past or in the whole history of humankind. The most typical form of historical essay is that the story essay, where the author relates his own narrative about a significant event. Normally the focus of the essay is to justify or highlight the main point of this story, usually by arguing from an opposing view.
